Before I ask Port Hope to trust me with public power, I should show how I keep commitments, report results and correct mistakes.
Proof Before Power is the public record behind that standard: campaign finances, paid relationships, corrections, platform changes and the evidence residents can use to check the work.

The campaign replaced Straight Talk. Stronger Port Hope. with A Town to Build a Life In. as its main public slogan and made the new line the homepage’s primary headline.

Position change
Safe Public Spaces. Regional Solutions.
Jordan moved the safe-public-spaces priority from fourth to sixth in the campaign's priority order and reframed it from a policing-led commitment into a broader commitment to safe public spaces, early preparation and regional responsibility for homelessness and addictions. Wesleyville moves from fifth to fourth and A Diverse Local Economy moves from sixth to fifth. Support for keeping Port Hope Police local remains unchanged. A detailed implementation plan will be published later in the campaign with municipal actions, regional roles, funding, first-year steps and public measures.
Position change
Wesleyville on Port Hope's Terms · Port Hope Energy Dividend
Jordan's previous Wesleyville position supported new nuclear but retained conditional-support wording that could imply he was still deciding whether to support the project. The updated position states firm support for new nuclear development at Wesleyville. The condition now applies specifically to the final Host Municipal Agreement Port Hope signs, which must protect taxpayers, fund project-driven municipal needs and include a fully funded resident Energy Dividend consistent with the published staged plan.

The 12 Rules
The campaign retained the 12-rule framework but replaced the active wording with clearer public commitments. The revision explains the grassroots purpose of the $500 contribution cap, simplifies the privacy rule, broadens the public-change rule beyond polls, strengthens No Wrong Door and open decision-making, protects credible community-wide opinion from domination by a small organized group, and balances One Port Hope around equal respect for both wards. Repeated Public evidence callouts were removed from the active rules, and the Rule 7 decision standard is now presented as one memorable line.
Cost or timeline update
Wesleyville on Port Hope's Terms · Port Hope Energy Dividend
The first Port Hope Energy Dividend stage was previously targeted for launch before the end of the 2026-2030 council term. It will now launch immediately when Port Hope signs the binding Host Municipal Agreement and the required first-year funding, administration costs and 24-month reserve are secured.

Campaign finance figures are checked before publication. Each report states the period it covers and when it was published.
Updates may lag recent transactions while the campaign confirms the figures.
Public reports exclude addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, payment details and private notes. Contributor names appear only where the public reporting policy permits.
This voluntary reporting does not replace the campaign's required municipal election filings. The official post-election filing will be linked here when it is available.
